We have been so busy at TM it is crazy. I (Wendy) have been busy teaching my monthly class, scrapbooking for people and making lots of kitz. Janet has been busy at her store getting ready for crops, putting on great sales and working so hard. I have to appologize for not keeping our blog up. We did have another kit in between all of our work, "Spring Fever" which sold like hot cakes. We made 40 of the kits and we have 4 left to sell.

ARE U GOING TO DISNEY???

If you are we have the kitz for you. We are going to do a Disney series. We will make 30 of each of them, so when they come out you better get them while you can. Our series will consist of 3 Themes: Characters, Princesses and Parks. The first set of layouts will consist of Mickey and Minnie and Buzz Light Year and Tigger. We have had a lot of interest in Disney so we hope that you will like them. As soon as we have them created I will post pictures.

This cute layout was created by Janet (Kitz Girl #2) The birthday banner layout was created by me, Wendy. (Kitz Girl #1)

A Little Saints Fan

Here is a friend of mine that finished her Saints layout yesterday before the BIG game! Well, as many of you know I'm not a huge football fan, but I have to say the excitement of this all has made me a little Saints crazy! I might just have to make a layout myself! My boys are really loving the Saints. I have never seen 2 boys so excited in all my life. Even Dax (3yr old) goes around saying the Viking's are going to loose...he even wanted my beloved Cowboys to loose! It's fun and I hope you all join in on the action. I would like to introduce our next guest designer. She is a local and a very impressive scrapbooker. We have know Heather for a really long time and she has such a great following at her blog we thought you'd enjoy seeing what she comes up with, with our Saints/Mardi Gras Kit. Hi, my name is Heather and I am addicted to scrapbooking! I started scrapping about 8 1/2 years ago and haven't looked back since. I would see papers and stickers in Michael's and just look but never buy. Finally after a couple of months, I bought a couple of sheets and went home and created my first masterpiece, or so I thought!!!! While bragging about my work of art to some co-workers, one of them mentioned there being a store dedicated to scrapbook supplies.... I was on the hunt for that store! Within a couple of days, I found Treasured Memories, my local scrapbook store. I walked in and was hooked immediately!!! Wow, has scrapbooking changed since that time! Anyways, here I am almost 9 years later and I am still scrapbooking.

My main focus is my two beautiful daughters. I keep a on-going album for each of them at all times as well as an on-going family album. I love that I can document all of the important events in their lives and I love even more that they go back and look at their albums.

My style tends to change quite frequently! In fact, I don't think that I have a definate style since I like to try it all!!! My favorite companies are Pink Paislee and Prima, but I tend to like a little bit of pretty much everything out there! I am a huge fan of anything sparkly, shimmery or bling-y. I think that comes from having girls!!!

I am honored to be chosen to be a guest designer for the Kitz Girls January kit! I can't wait to get my hands on it!!!

How many of you have some un-scrapped pictures of Mardi Gras? Or are you having a Saints play-off party? Even if you don't live in Louisiana doesn't mean you can't complete these layouts, you may have spent time in New Orleans and New Orleans is truly known for its Mardi Gras Celebration! Whatever the occasion, you will surely love making these awesome 2 2page layouts. You will get some awesome papers, stickles, Mardi Gras items, iron-ons and pre-cut football pieces. I'm thinking even if your not a Saints fan, you could use the field goal as a template and change the cardstock color to you favorite team colors and just use some different letters for the title. Well I must say Aymee has blown my mind! I just love all of her projects that she came up with using the materials in the Kitz 2 Go. If you held your kitz with a credit card, you will pay when you pick them up...the card was to hold your kit. If you had them shipped your cards have been processed and all kitz have been shipped. My name is Aymee Gandy (aka: Southernbellescrapper). I am 26 years old. I live in Carlisle, PA, but am originally from Russellville, AL. I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart, Brandon, for 7 fabulous years. I currently do not have any children of my own, but do want them in the near future. I have been scrapbooking for about 3 years and have loved every minute of it. It is such a creative outlet for me and I have made so many wonderful friends through scrapbooking. I am so very flabbergasted by France Sylvia's creativity! She is unbelievable! You must check out her blog here for some very fun layouts and projects, and some very well-written blog entries! I just love her blog and she amazes me all the time...might I add she is an English teacher....

I will post a few of pictures that she sent over. She was our 1st guest designer and she has really set a standard for the following designers...her work was incredible and I just love her take on our kit. She did throw in a few things such as buttons, ribbon and eyelets...but how easy was it to match a fe

w things in with our kit. Remember with our kit you get the instructions plus all of the materials to make 2-2 page layouts...or if you'd like to create a few of Frances' projects...go for it. All you have to do is click on the pictures and print them out.

Congratulations Frances Sylvia!

I would like to introduce our very first Guest Designer- Frances Sylvia! We love following Sylvia's blog, she is a very talented scrapper and we are honored that she has excepted our invitation to be our Guest Designer. She will be receiving the materials for our next kit (Kit #4) very soon and she will design some awesome projects to share with you!

My name is Frances Sylvia and I am from Natchitoches, Louisiana, the small, Southern town where Steel Magnolias was filmed. By day, I am a Junior High English teacher, and by night, I am a lucky wife of 8 years, mother of 4, and a totally addicted scrapbooker. Though my greatest inspiration comes from my family and friends in the photos, I usually begin a layout by searching for inspiration via the internet. That usually means finding a cool sketch, a new, interesting challenge, or a handmade technique to incorporate into my layout. I truly believe that I do not have a set style, yet there are some elements I can not leave off a layout these days, such as, hand or machine stitching, buttons, doodling, distressing, and layering. Since my time is mostly devoted to being a wife and mother, I believe that scrapbooking should be FUN!! I like to think that I am funny and my sense of humor usually ends up spilling over on to my layouts.

I have been in love with Treasured Memories for many years and I am thrilled to be a part of a fantastic growing community. Thanks so much for this opportunity Janet and Wendy! I am honored to be the Kitz Girlz’s first guest designer.

Janet and I have been so busy with taking orders, putting kits together, creating...and we have added one more element to the Kitz Girlz! We are excited to announce that we will be choosing a GUEST DESIGNER to help us out each time we release a new KIT. Our guest designer will take the materials from our kit and design different projects: such as 1 page layouts, altered projects, cards or 2 page layouts. We will post their creations for you to view. This will be an added benefit to purchasing our kits. As many of you know we are the "HOME OF THE 2PAGERS" , and our instructions that are sent along with our kits will provide you with all of the materials to make our, the Kitz Girlz, layouts. But now if you would like to see other ideas you will be able to do this with our Guest Designer.

We have already chosen our 1st Guest Designer, and she has eagerly excepted the challenge! We will announce who she is very soon. Check back with us weekly or even daily to see what is happening at Kitz 2 Go!

Okay so here is how it's going to work. Each month Kitgirl #1 will design a layout and Kitgirl #2 will design a different layout. We will include in the kit all materials to make the two layouts. We will also provide tips and tricks to make your layout a success. The kit will also provide you both pictures to be able to work from. We know so many of you out there are so bogged down with work, kids and family activities...that we want to make it easier for you to create some fabulous layouts for your family to cherish forever.
